1) Private Cloud

The explosion of the cloud has left customers with a multitude of choices with respect to their server and storage environments. Work practices and security concerns, as well as application requirements, often drive the need to keep a proportion of the computing and storage function on a customer’s premise or in a data centre.

Kytec work closely with customers to design and implement server and storage solutions working with solutions such as Cisco’s UCS platform to provide advanced data center requirements at a fraction of the investment that was required only a few years ago.

Our process, as always, involves the initial assessment of requirements, the design of the solution and finally implementation and support.

2. Public Cloud

The public cloud services available today are both exciting and daunting. Kytec are experienced in many of the Tier 1 cloud services available today including AWS, Azure, Office 365 and Telstra’s CMX platform.

We work with our clients to design the ideal solution given the requirements and then plan and execute the migration ensuring end user impact is minimised as much as possible.

3. Disaster Recovery

Whilst we don’t like to talk about it, data loss happens. Whether due to hardware failure, software corruption, malware or even malicious actions by employees, our clients want to know that their business is protected.

Our initial engagement is usually a consultancy to gather the business requirements following on from which we prepare recommended solutions and implement on our client’s behalf.

Managed DR provides a ‘set and forget’ service for our customers whereby we manage all elements of the DR solution including backup and can execute on the DRP in the absolute worst case.

Cisco

Despite only entering the Data Centre market relatively recently, Cisco have very quickly moved to the number 1 position in blade servers through their innovation and industry leading technology in UCS. UCS or Unified Computing System was designed from the ground up and draws on Cisco’s networking heritage resulting in faster throughputs, simpler management and increased convergence in the data centre.

Kytec are UCS certified and have expertise in both UCS and Nexus, the data centre switching portfolio.

Telstra

Nimble are a recent entrant to the storage market and have impressed with the innovation and forward thinking. Nimble storage products are capable of incredible IOPs thanks to their industry leading software that controls the way that they write to and read from disk.

Kytec have only recently partnered with Nimble but are very impressed with their offerings and customer service to date

Calabrio

VMWare have led the virtualisation market since their inception and all indicators do not see this changing. VMWare provide a stable, reliable and easy to use hypervisor and underpin most of Kytec’s data centre and cloud solutions.

Veeam

Veeam develop industry-leading replication and backup software that Kytec recommend for many DR applications. The simplicity of the software provides our clients with an environment that is simple to manage and monitor should they choose to do it themselves, and provides our managed team with a powerful yet easy to use interface if clients elect to utilise Kytec’s managed DR service.
